New Winners of PGA's Sri Panca Ratna Award
Sri Nava Graha Puja Performed in Bangkok A Sri Navagraha puja was performed by Pandit Vidyadhar Sukul (Shukla) Brahmin in Bangkok, at Sri hrisikesh Navaratna Museum, on April 26, 2003, for the benefit of all mankind. During the ceremony 108 mantras were recited for each planet, along with other Sanskrit sound vibrations and symbols, herbs, etc. All was performed in the presence of Sri Salagram Shila. Dear Friends I for one will cherish the moments
we shared, the things I learned, and the inspiration I gained
through knowing and working alongside Richard Liddicoat. I encourage
each of you to take consolation in the wonderful times you had
with the man we affectionately called "Mr. L." A memorial and remembrance service
was held at GIA Carlsbad on August 24, during which more than
500 of his friends and colleagues from all avenues of life and
all parts of the world joined in a special celebration of life.
I realize that many members of our extended GIA family around
the globe were unable to attend, but I know that you were here
in spirit as we remembered the man who will always be known to
us as "Mr. GIA."

Bangkok, Thailand - May 12, 2002: The Planetary Gemologists Association, located on the WWW at http://p-g-a.org - has just published their latest Directory & Journal 2002. It is interesting to see how many prominent Astrological experts and Indologists have rallied in support of the Planetary Gemologists Association. The PGAs growth has surprised co-founder Richard Brown, the PGAs current Acting Secretary and Web Master. Brown is very impressed with the PGAs rapid growth, but he warns that setting standards for the correct practice of Vedic Planetary Gemology will not be easy, with so many different views being followed. The new Directory provides detailed information on the methods of each member concerning, 1) Synthetics, 2) Uparatna, 3) Flawed (gems), and 4) Gem choosing method, viz., gems for the anukul (favourable) planets OR gems for the pratikul (unfavourable) planets. The Astrological Magazine Correctly Predicts War "World Trends and Tensions in 2001-2002" --- In the Jan. 2001 issue of The Astrological Magazine wise predictions were made by the Editor and PGA Honorary Patron Smt. Gayatri Devi Vasudev:
EXERTS ---"The Sun, as ruler of the lunar year, is ascribed certain specific results in classical works, such as: Kings will be in bad temper, engaging themselves in destructive attacks and invasions and in mindless violence. Rulers armed with mighty bows, swords and staves, will go about destroying countries in wars." ---"July 9, 2001 Jupiter enters the constellation Aridra which he transits until Sept. 17, 2001; "this period may see a religious or cult leader exposed." ---"Mars [planet of war] and Jupiter [planet of peace] (are moving to) reach an exact opposition on Oct. 3, 2001. A major air crash is possible." ---"Mars aspects Saturn (Retrograde) on Dec. 22, 2001. The United States may find itself forced into military action either in the Gulf or in a neighboring state." ---"Mars will be in opposition to Rahu on Sept. 14, 2001 and warns against a nuclear disaster or gas tragedy....disasters...fire break outs are also supported by such a disposition of Mars (around that time)." ---"Mars in Pisces will aspect Jupiter in Gemini to the exact degree on Jan. 30, 2002. A sever earth quake cannot be ruled out in the United States about this period. Air travel as also sea journeys are best avoided during such planetary phenomena." ---On Feb. 15, 2002 Mars will square Rahu when ethnic strife, communal tensions and acts of sabotage not only in India but around the world can escalate causing serious concern as well as damage to human life and property. The West Asian peace efforts may receive sever knocks and falter again with violence breaking out between Israel and Palestine.
